30th Annual Community Association Managers Conference & Tradeshow

Scheduled for Friday, September 30, 2016 at H.S. Lordships Conference Center & Restaurant in Berkeley, CA from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. To celebrate our 30th anniversary of this popular event, we will be giving away a trip for 2 to Hawaii (or $2,000 cash to go wherever you want)! You must be present at the time of the drawing to win.

As in prior years, the educational program will consist of approximately a dozen speakers with topics ranging from legal, accounting and insurance to maintenance, reserves and reconstruction. There will also be approximately 30 vendors in the trade show hall. In addition to a continental breakfast and afternoon refreshment break, lunch will consist of a choice of steak, chicken, lobster tail or a vegetarian dish. The regular registration deadline is August 19, 2016 for the $95 seminar fee ($129 for payments received after August 19, 2016).

4th Annual Community Association Management Company Owners Conference

Scheduled for Thursday, September 29, 2016 at H.S. Lordships Conference Center & Restaurant in Berkeley, CA from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM, this seminar is designed to assist the owners of community association management companies, or divisions in larger companies, to operate more profitably and with less liability risk. Topics are presently scheduled to include employment laws with respect to community managers, management contracts, management training & motivation, board member elections, among others. The regular registration deadline is August 19, 2016 for the $150 seminar fee ($195 for payments received after August 19, 2016).

Typically these are weekday evening educational events last 2 hours (from 5:45 PM to 7:45 PM) covering legal and financial topics of interest to Board members. Refreshments are also served as an incentive to lure Board members directly after their working day. The seminars are scattered throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area and are hosted by an individual management companies, law firms or financial institutions. Levy, Erlanger & Company, CPAs sometimes assists with providing association address information which is used in distributing promotional materials for these educational events. We are also frequently a speaker at such events.
